LSTA CARES ACT - Funded Projects and Initiatives

Maine State Library received CARES Act funding through the Institute for Museum and Library Services and is providing funding for the following to Maine libraries.

• COVID Community Archives - The Maine State Library is funding a platinum subscription to a hosted service for the Omeka platform, a web publishing software for cultural institutions. Local libraries and partner institutions will collect and share written stories, poems, phots, artwork and audio files that depicts the impact of COVID-19 on their communities and regions. The participating libraries have formed a collaborative to work together to share expertise, create documentation around best practices and a resource guide for other libraries.
