If you have read any of my previous blog posts, you know that I am Purdue University Alumnus, and as such, I have participated in several projects with the University in the past, including a podcast about trail cameras on the Got Nature? Podcast series.

Well I am excited to share a new Podcast series through Purdue University called: Boiler Up! For Wildlife, where I will be a regular participant.
This will be a weekly series where wildlife biologists are interviewed about current wildlife issues. These issues are far ranging and represent common topics that the public often ask wildlife biologists. The topics include disease issues, resolving wildlife-human conflicts, habitat management, species management, hunting forecasts.
I am lucky enough to be interviewed for the inaugural podcast discussing a common set of viruses that affect White-tailed Deer across much of the United States. These diseases are known as Hemorrhagic Diseases, specifically Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease and Blue Tongue Virus. We discuss the disease vectors, symptoms, and impacts to deer populations.
