- Sagadahoc County Population - 36,699 people, 144.5 per square mile (2020 Census)
- Waldo County Population - 39,607 people, 54.3 per square mile (2020 Census)
- 4 county governments: Waldo, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc Counties
- 73 municipalities (incorporated local governments): cities, towns, plantations (A few unincorporated townships are a recognized part of the District. A TWP is officially served by the Maine CDC and may be served by the local health officer of an adjacent town.)
- Included in the total number of municipalities are 6 unbridged island communities.
