Maine Potato Testing Lab
The Maine Potato Disease Testing Lab is a secure facility set up for the purpose of testing seed potatoes for certification by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry. The lab is accredited by USDA APHIS to test for Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus (bacterial ring rot). Other tests administered by the lab involve virus testing and other diseases to enable certification of seed potatoes.
