How to Order Maps and Publications from the Maine Geological Survey

• If you know what you want (by publication title and number) you can:
  • Order by phone
  1. Call 207-287-2801 to place your order.
  • Order by Email
  1. Fill out an order form.
     • Use the Maps and Publications Search to find the publication number.
     • Use the fillable PDF Publications Order Form to enter the items. Save the form.
  2. Email the form as an attachment to: mgs@maine.gov
  • Order by mail
  1. Fill out an order form.
     • Use the Maps and Publications Search to find the publication number.
     • Print the Publications Order Form and enter the items requested.
  2. Mail to: Maine Geological Survey, 93 State House Station, Augusta ME 04333-0093.
  • Order in person
  1. Publications can be ordered at the Survey's sales desk, by appointment, during regular office hours, 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday (excluding all State holidays). For directions to the office, see our location map.
  2. Although not required, it will speed your order if you know the publication title and number. See the How to find MGS Maps and Publications instructions for help.
  3. To minimize your waiting time you may call or fax us large orders in advance.
