Computer Crimes
The Maine Office of Attorney General provides legal counsel to the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit (formerly the Maine Computer Crimes Task Force). Based at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro, and with satellite forensics labs in Lewiston and Bangor, the Computer crimes Unit investigates computer crimes, provides computer forensics services, and provides training, technical support and legal support to law enforcement officers and prosecutors throughout the State.
