Maine Veterans Cemetery Corporations

Maine is fortunate to have the support of three cemetery corporations, focused on the enhancement and beautification of our veterans' cemeteries.

The Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Corporation, Veterans Memorial Cemetery Association, and Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery Corporation are all volunteer-led, non-profit organizations dedicated to providing a peaceful and elegant final resting place for our state's veterans.

Each corporation works closely with the Bureau of Veterans' Services, other veteran service organizations, government agencies, and private companies to advocate for robust burial options for veterans and to raise funds for enhancements to the cemeteries, such as:

• Memorial walkways
• Granite wall directories
• Trees and shrubs
• Benches
