The Maine State Archives offers scheduled presentations to classes in grades 4-12 at the Maine State Archives facility in Augusta.
A presentation begins with a discussion of the necessity of a state archive and the different types of records in our holdings. Our archivists will display and explain examples of our records pertaining to the Maine Constitution, the Civil War, or a topic of your interest. Your students may also work one-on-one with an archivist on history projects.
