The EVV requirements for Home Health providers delivering services under Section 40 were implemented on January 1, 2023.
We continue to offer weekly provider and aggregator trainings. All trainings are online via Microsoft Teams.

Providers must enter the correct DEA number during the enrollment process. This includes new, reactivations, revalidations, and maintenance cases. DEA numbers have a specific format requirement of two (2) letters followed by seven (7) numbers. This format verifies the number’s validity and reveals the prescriber. Please do not deviate from this format when entering DEA data.
On June 4, 2023 the Office of MaineCare Services (OMS) notified providers of IOP services regarding the upcoming requirement to submit a PA through the Atrezzo system operated by Acentra Health (formally Kepro) and adhere to the substantive standards set forth in MBM, Chapter II, Section 65, Behavioral Health Services.

The Office of Aging and Disability Services is excited to announce a virtual training opportunity on Mental Health First Aid, scheduled for September 18, 2023. This training is offered in collaboration with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Maine and is available for caregivers providing care to Section 19 members. Caregivers can include personal support staff, attendants, home health aides, nurses or other natural and family supports.
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is excited to announce the creation of a Service Locator Tool hosted on Bamboo Health’s TreatmentConnection.com. The Tool will improve access to treatment for substance use and mental health issues. The goal is to publicly launch this tool in late summer 2023.
The purpose of this rule is to update the General Assistance (GA) Program Manual, Section IV to provide clarity and align this manual with Public Law 2023, Chapter 133. The Department proposes amending Section IV(O), Recovery Residence to clarify that GA payments may be issued to a managing operator of a certified recovery residence.
