Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Trainings and Forums

The federal deadline to implement the EVV requirements for Home Health providers delivering services under Section 40 and Hospice providers delivering services under Section 43 happened January 1, 2023.

We continue to offer weekly provider and aggregator trainings and forums. All trainings and forums are online via Microsoft Teams.

NOTE:  The Absorb training system has been updated to allow providers to register for trainings and/or forums more than once.

Attention Section 25 Dental Providers: HealthPAS Online Portal Direct Data Entry (DDE) Claims Submission Issue, TR 116587

MaineCare dental providers may be experiencing claims submission issues with the HealthPAS Online Portal that affects the ability to submit multiple service lines on claims. We anticipate the issue will be resolved by the end of the month and will send another message at that time. We apologize for the inconvenience. 

Section 19 Home and Community Based Services for Older and Disabled Adult Caregivers, Training Opportunity Available

The Office of Aging and Disability Services in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Maine, is excited to announce a virtual training opportunity on Mental Health First Aid scheduled for May 1, 2023. This training is for caregivers providing care to members receiving services under Section 19 of the MaineCare Benefits Manual. Caregivers can include personal support staff, attendants, home health aides, nurses or other natural and family supports.  

DHHS Advances Health Care Workforce Development Strategy

At the direction of Governor Janet Mills, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has developed and executed a variety of programs to address the shortage of qualified health care workers in Maine. These initiatives were developed in collaboration with health system leaders to grow the talent pipeline and develop new workforce models to advance health equity and health care access in rural and other under-served populations. This work is centered around three key areas of focus: Recruitment, training and career ladders, and growing the provider pipeline.
