National health data resources

  • Healthy People 2030 provides a comprehensive set of 355 core objectives, as well as development and research objectives. These objectives are organized into five health topics. These sets are intended to foster data-driven national objectives to improve health and well-being over the next decade.
  • CDC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System - The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the nation's premier system of health-related telephone surveys that collect state data about U.S. residents regarding their health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services.
  • National Chronic Disease Indicators "The chronic disease indicators (CDI) are a set of surveillance indicators developed by consensus among CDC, the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), and the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD). CDI enables public health professionals and policymakers to retrieve uniformly defined state and selected metropolitan-level data for chronic diseases and risk factors that have a substantial impact on public health."
