In accordance with federal requirements, the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the Maine Department of Health and Human Services is sharing the FY2026 workplan (PDF) for Maine's share of the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant. Block Grant (PHHS BG) activities are guided by Healthy People 2030 health objectives and dedicated to protecting and improving the health of all Maine people.
Planned uses of PHHS BG funds include contributions to the Maine Shared Community Health Needs Assessment, PFAS exposure reduction activities, tuberculosis investigation and prevention, asthma self-management education activities, improvements to health literacy, and sexual assault prevention and response.
