New School

The window to submit a Letter of Intent has closed and the online application portal is open for those entities that submitted a Letter of Intent before the deadline. Links to the Letters of Intent can be found on this page. All proposals will be due by February 13, 2025 and the MCSC will prioritize schools that plan to open for the 2026-2027 school year.

A "New Charter School Application Orientation" will be held on August 6, 2024 which is designed to support prospective charter school applicants. The purpose of this orientation is to deepen understanding of:

1. The Commission's expectations as articulated in the New Charter School Application;
2. How to access EdLusion, the online submission portal
3. How applications will be evaluated;
4. The purpose and format of Public Forums; and
5. Changes (if any) that have occurred to the RFP since the last cycle.
