Support Climate Leadership in Your Community
Working together to confront climate change is our best way forward. Find tips on starting and joining climate action conversations, supporting local neighborhoods and becoming a climate action advocate in your community.
Talk to Your Neighbors
Proactive communities start with conversations. Start or join community climate conversations in your local library, church, community center or town meetings. Get to know your neighbors, particularly those who might be vulnerable to heat or flooding.
Encourage Your Town to Take Action
Encourage your elected officials to join our new Maine Resilient Communities Partnership Program, which offers grants and technical assistance to municipal and tribal governments for climate change resilience projects. Share the program.
Maine's program will also require engagement from community members so consider attending a meeting to hear more or add ideas, or join a committee doing the heavy lifting.
