Lead
- "Protect Your Family from Lead in Your Home" -- Federal law states this brochure must be distributed to tenants/ buyers of housing built before 1978 prior to lease or sale. The disclosure forms are available from the EPA.
- Maine no longer requires a separate disclosure for real estate transactions .
Arsenic
There are no State laws regulating the quality of drinking water that comes from a private residential water well. During a real estate transaction State law requires the follwing information about arsenic be provided to the buyer:
