ICS 400 is a course that expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses and is designed for senior emergency personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in a Multi-Agency Coordination unit or in an Area Command. The goals of the ICS-400 are to explain how major incidents engender special management challenges; describe the circumstances in which an Area Command is established, and to describe the circumstances in which multi-agency coordination systems are established.

*Prerequisites for the course include: 

  • IS 100
  • IS 200
  • IS 700
  • IS 800
  • ICS 300
