Pittsfield Maine Public Library serves as both a warming and cooling center during our open hours (M-F, 10-6 and Saturdays 10-4 except in July and August).

The Bowdoinham Fire Station, located at 57 Post Road, has opened a cooling center from Monday, August 11 to Wednesday, August 13 from 8 AM to 6 PM. 

The Millinocket Memorial Library is available as a Cooling Center Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday  10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Saturday 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

If you need a place to cool down outside of these hours. call the fire department at 207-723-7016, If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.

 Winthrop Fire Station, 1703 US Route 202, will be open until 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 12-13 as a cooling center.

Scarborough will have a cooling center open at the Scarborough Public Library, 48 Gorham Road, Scarborough, ME, all summer. Device charging, wifi, and water are available. The hours are:
