There are online programs and lessons available for school administrative units to use at no cost for elementary, middle, and high school health education and regular education classes. These programs or lessons provide 1) information that addresses common early symptoms of cancer and prevention strategies, 2) information and resources on bone marrow registry, and 3) information and resources on organ donation.
The Maine legislature passed a H.P. 778 - L.D. 1049, Chapter 41 Resolve directed at educating students regarding common cancer symptoms, the Bone Marrow Registry and organ donation in June 2021.
