There are four levels of support provided under Maine’s Model of School Supports including Targeted Support (TSI), Additional Targeted Support (ATSI), Comprehensive Support (CSI), and Comprehensive Support-Returning (CSI-R).
CSI and CSI-R support is for schools operating Title I programs and high school experiencing the most significant challenges.
ATSI and TSI support is for all schools, Title I and non-Title I.
CSI and CSI-R support eligibility is based on the performance of all eligible student population groups. ATSI and TSI are based on the performance of each individual student population group with at least 10 or more students. Student groups with fewer than 10 students are not included as part of the accountability indicators for a school as described in Maine’s Consolidated State Plan.
Below is a detailed summary describing how a school’s eligibility is determined and the various supports provided at each level.
Level | TSI Target Supports and Improvement |
ATSI Additional Target Supports and Improvement |
CSI Comprehensive Supports and Improvement |
