Attention Pharmacy Providers: Status of Initial Restoration of Maine Point of Purchase System (MEPOPS)
This notice is an update on the first phase of restoration of MEPOPS. You can find more information about the restoration in the March 27, 2024, e-message. The Department confirms that claims payments have successfully resumed as of Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Pharmacies can expect to receive payment on Thursday or Friday of this week depending on their bank and payment specifications. Their remittance advices will be available through normal channels.
As mentioned in our Friday, April 05, 2024, e-message, we have updated our technical instructions for processing backlog claims during the outage period (February 21 through March 26). The system change reflected in these updated instructions went live Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
