AUGUSTA, Maine – The Maine Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP) is today issuing a health and safety recall for adult use cannabis flower produced by Green Trap, of the strain “Drip Burger.” The affected cannabis was sold at seven adult use retail stores located in Bangor, Berwick, Bethel, Eliot, Lebanon, Oxford, and Rockland.
As part of an ongoing investigation into data irregularities between mandatory test results reported to OCP and audit testing conducted by the Office, the products are being recalled due to audit testing results that showed unsafe levels of yeast and mold.
Inhaling cannabis containing unsafe levels of mold can lead to sinus issues, allergies, headaches, dizziness, or fatigue. Consumers who purchased these products should return them to the retailer or dispose of them. Any consumer who has ingested these products and is experiencing symptoms or adverse reactions should contact a healthcare provider immediately or dial 911 if there is a medical emergency.
All adult use cannabis is required to have a label affixed to the package that indicates the product’s batch number. Consumers should check the label of their cannabis for the batch number listed below under “Product Information.”
