Women's Center

The Women’s Center, located in Windham, is in a separate housing unit of the Maine Correctional Center with a capacity of 86 adult female residents. The unit’s capacity (number of beds) may vary from time to time. Also, the actual number of residents in the unit may be fewer than the capacity. Programs and services include education (basic and higher education), vocational training, mental health treatment, substance use disorder treatment, problematic sexual behavior treatment, parenting, and domestic violence education.
