Downeast Correctional Facility

The Downeast Correctional Facility, located in Machiasport, is a minimum security/pre-release facility with a capacity of 48 adult male residents. Residents residing there have five years or less left on their sentence. Programs and services include education (basic and higher education), substance use disorder treatment, cognitive-behavioral classes, community restitution projects, and the ability to participate in a community work release program.

DCF is associated with the Mountain View Correctional Facility in Charleston.
